Want to know which tea beverages Starbucks consumers think are the best and order most frequently?

Examine the following list of the thirteen most popular Starbucks teas.

How do you prepare your Tea?

Hot, cold, sweet, unsweet, herbal, floral, green, or black. For some, the flavor of the steeped tea is sufficient, whereas, for others, tea without milk and flavor is nothing more than vile leaf water.

Even though we all have our own opinions on the best way to prepare the beverage, we can all agree that Starbucks' selection can be intimidating and overwhelming at times.

The chain offers a variety of brewed teas, tea lattes, iced teas, and specialty tea drinks, in addition to the plethora of secret tea-based recipes that Starbucks customers have shared.

We analyzed the full range of Starbucks tea beverages, from plain to fruity, including the tea bag menu and secret recipe surprises, to determine which teas are bomb brews and which are best suited for watering houseplants.

Here is our ranking of Starbucks tea beverages from worst to best.

How Much Caffeine does Starbucks Tea have?

The caffeine content of Starbucks tea varies. A grand size may contain between 0 and 95 mg of caffeine.

It is possible that smaller sizes contain less caffeine and vice versa for larger sizes. The type of tea is also significant.

Some Starbucks teas contain no caffeine, while others contain nearly as much as a regular cup of coffee.

Moreover, the variation of the tea may influence the caffeine content. For instance, hot teas contain more caffeine than their iced counterparts, and both contain more than their Frappuccino counterparts.

How Do You Order Caffeinated Tea From Starbucks?

Most of these teas are on the menu, making their ordering simple. Simply identify which beverages contain caffeine and which do not.

If you are uncertain, you can inquire while placing your order. Additionally, you would need to specify the tea's size and any customizations you desire.

You can personalize your tea by including or omitting a sweetener.

Additionally, you could request that the tea be served over ice or as a Frappuccino. The decision is yours to make.

Best Starbucks Teas to Order

This list of the most popular Starbucks tea beverages is the ideal guide if you're unsure of which tea to order on your next visit.

If you've been wondering which tea beverages other Starbucks customers order repeatedly, this list is for you.

These top-selling Starbucks teas are ranked according to the tea beverages that actual customers order most frequently.

Consider this list, compiled by my daughter, a seven-year Starbucks barista, and a recommendation from a friend in the know.

As an added bonus, because some of these Starbucks teas are so delicious, I've included links to my homemade replicas.

1. Iced Chai Tea Latte

The most popular tea beverage at Starbucks is the Iced Chai Tea Latte.

Customers at Starbucks cannot seem to get enough of this sweet and spicy iced tea latte, regardless of the season.

Starbucks' Iced Chai Tea Latte is a best-seller due to its delicious combination of chai concentrate and milk.

Black tea flavored with cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and honey is a favorite among tea and coffee drinkers.

2. Chai Latte (Hot)

In addition to iced chai, the Starbucks Hot Chai Latte is a customer favorite.

Despite the fact that both iced and hot chai lattes contain the same ingredients (with the exception of hot water in the hot latte), they are surprisingly very different beverages.

However, they are equally delicious, albeit in a completely different way. It's easy to see why this hot chai latte is a Starbucks staple once you take a sip.

Made by combining chai tea concentrate with steamed milk and a dollop of foam, the hot chai latte is truly comforting.

It is one of my favorite teas to order, particularly in the fall and winter.

In addition, if you desire a low-calorie chai latte, simply request that the barista prepare it with Teavana chai tea bags.

Strawberry Matcha Iced Tea

3. Strawberry Matcha Iced Tea

The crown jewel of all Starbucks tea beverages is now available: the secret iced strawberry matcha tea.

According to TikTok user @gerrigerrigerri, you should order a Pink Drink with strawberry puree in the bottom of the cup and vanilla cold foam blended with a scoop of matcha powder on top.

The resulting beverage is beautifully colored, with the signature pink hue of the Pink Drink, the red strawberry puree, and the green strands of matcha.

Do not judge a book by its cover, as the picture-perfect colors will bleed into a sickly brownish-orange hue when stirred.

Strawberry and matcha are a perfect match, and the coconut milk and matcha balance the sweetness of the strawberry puree.

We were surprised by how prominent the matcha was without its characteristic grassy flavor.

The beverage was sweet, but not overly so, and packed with flavor from all its ingredients.

Don't be shocked by the appearance of the drink after it has been stirred and allowed to sit for a few minutes: between the matcha, coconut milk, foam, puree, and strawberries, there are a number of different textures and densities occurring in a single cup.

The visuals are somewhat chaotic. Don't be alarmed by the separation; simply give the drink another vigorous stir and you'll be good to go.

4. Vanilla Chai Latte (Hot)

At this point, it shouldn't be a surprise that a Hot Vanilla Chai Latte is also a very popular tea at Starbucks.

Similar to the Iced Vanilla Chai Tea Latte, a couple pumps of vanilla or sugar-free vanilla syrup can be added to a regular chai latte to make it your own.

Then, of course, hot chai and steamed milk are poured on top of the vanilla, and a scoop of foam is put on top of the whole thing.

5. Milk Tea with Raspberries

This drink just barely missed the top two spots on the list. Reddit says that you should start with iced black tea to make Starbucks' secret raspberry milk tea.

Add half-and-half instead of water, classic syrup instead of liquid sugar, and both raspberry and toffee nut syrups.

If you want a tea drink with a lot of flavour and not too much sweetness, this is the one for you.

The raspberry is flavorful and sour, and the half and half makes the tea foamy and creamy.

We were worried that the syrup or the milk would cover up the taste of the black tea, but neither did.

Instead, all three parts come together to make a blend that is somewhat sweet, fruity, and milky.

If you don't like how heavy the half and half is, we don't think the taste of this drink will change much if you use whole, 2%, or skim milk.

Coconut, oat, or soy milk would also work with only slight flavour changes, but your drink wouldn't be as smooth and creamy as the original.

Raspberry milk tea is a refreshing beverage that may be enjoyed during the entire summer.

It only lost one point because some Starbucks don't keep raspberry syrup in stock, but you can try this tea with blueberry or peach syrup instead.

6. Green Tea Latte with iced Matcha

Starbucks' most popular tea drinks also include matcha drinks like the Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte.

Starbucks' famous Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte is made by shaking matcha green tea powder, milk, and sugar together and then pouring it over ice.

This matcha drink is sweet and creamy, so it's easy to see why Starbucks tea drinkers like it so much.

Importantly, this drink has caffeine in it, and since the Starbucks matcha powder has sugar in it, it can't be ordered without sugar.

Like the One at Starbucks, Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte

7. Peach green tea lemonade served over ice.

Starbucks' Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade is a thirst-quenching mix of peach-flavored fruit juice, iced green tea, and lemonade.

It is made with liquid cane sugar and ice that is shaken by hand. When it's poured into the cup and has a little fizz on top, that's my favourite part.

All green teas have caffeine, and so do the iced green tea drinks at Starbucks.

8. Green Drink

Since the Starbucks Pink Drink was so popular, fans may have seen it as a chance to create secret recipes under other color-related names.

So, we found the recipe for Green Drink: iced black tea, coconut milk instead of water, and two scoops of matcha.

Don't ask for a "green drink." If that was all we could say about it, we would. Let's say more.

The three parts of this drink are delicious on their own and when used in a smart way with other things. But this combination doesn't look good on any of them.

There is no sweetness to balance out the matcha, and there is no fruitiness that goes so well with coconut milk.

The iced black tea is doomed to fail because it doesn't have any lemon or honey to go with it. The flavours of the two teas clash and bring out the worst in one another.

At best, this drink needs a little something, like a puree, a syrup, or something else.

At worst, it's just a boring drink that can't compete with all the amazing things Starbucks fans have made.

If you don't care much about taste, you might like this drink, but we think it's a flop without some major changes.

You could try adding honey or lemonade to find out if this recipe is hiding a great tea drink.

9. Green Tea Matcha Frappuccino

The Matcha Green Tea Frappuccino is one of the most popular blended drinks at Starbucks that is made with cream.

This green frappuccino is just matcha powder, ice, milk, creme frappuccino syrup, and classic syrup that has been sweetened.

This tea-based frappuccino is definitely irresistible with a big swirl of vanilla whipped cream.

The best Matcha Green Tea Frappuccino that tastes like one from Starbucks.

10. Passion Tango Tea Lemonade with Ice

Starbucks Iced Passion Tango Tea is a delicious mix of hibiscus, apple, and lemongrass.

Like all iced tea lemonade drinks from Starbucks, Passion Tango is made by shaking ice and lemonade by hand. Rather than using solid sugar, liquid cane sugar is used to sweeten this.

As you might guess, this pretty pink herbal iced tea is sweet, tasty, and doesn't have any caffeine.

Iced-black-teas

11. Black Iced Tea

This famous Iced Black Tea beverage is a shaken mixture of black iced tea and liquid cane sugar.

The only thing lacking from this beverage that evokes southern sweet tea is a lemon wedge.

To add a touch of lemon taste, though, simply request a splash of lemonade or order an Iced Black Tea Lemonade.

This robust iced tea is crisp and refreshing, making it a wonderful choice if you're looking for an iced caffeinated drink.

12. Passion Tango Iced Tea

If you want to enjoy the flavor of Iced Passion Tango Tea without the addition of lemonade, this customer favorite is the best option.

A mixture of hand-shaken Passion Tango tea, liquid cane sugar, and ice will definitely quench your thirst.

My preferred preparation of Passion Tango is without sugar and with a splash of lemonade. Perfect pinkness in a cup.

13. Honey Citronage Mint Tea

Oh Jade Citrus Mint, we had great expectations for you. And it's not that you underachieved; rather, the mint in your mixture outperformed you.

Even though Starbucks claims that there is only a "hint" of spearmint in this blend, the spearmint overpowers the lemon verbena and lemongrass.

We anticipated a tea that was sour and refreshing, with a distinct flavor contrast. Jade Citrus Mint fell short, and its green tea foundation was completely gone.

The mild sweetness of the spearmint was a treat, but there are just too many other excellent teas in the S-bucks portfolio for us to order it again.

You may redeem this tea, though, by requesting a dash of lemonade in exchange for some of the water; the addition of lemon could assist accentuate the strong citrus flavor in this blend.

Otherwise, we suggest sticking with the Honey Citrus Mint for a more balanced blend of citrus to mint.

14. Iced Green Tea.

Iced green tea, liquid cane sugar, and filtered ice are mixed together to make this tasty drink.

This refreshing iced tea is great because you can make it sugar-and calorie-free by asking the barista to leave out the syrup.

15. Matcha Green Tea Cappuccino (Hot)

Starbucks The combination of Japanese green tea matcha blend and steamed milk yields a sweet and creamy Hot Matcha Green Tea Latte that customers adore.

A word of caution, though, this is not a healthy matcha beverage.

Matcha powder from Starbucks contains sugar, and a grande matcha green tea latte, for example, contains 32 grams of sugar.

Regardless, this hot matcha latte tastes very nice, and it's simple to see why Starbucks fans purchase it again.
